Kids will enjoy coloring all of their favorite Super Mario characters like Bowser, Luigi, and even Mario himself!
Super Mario Piñata – Do you remember taking a whack at your first piñata? Oh what fun it is to see all the candy and small toys drop. Kids just love taking a turn at the bat to strike these fun party pleasers! I promise you, this game will be a big hit! You may also want to consider Super Mario Yahtzee or Chess. They are also guaranteed winners for kids of all ages!
Rescue Princess Peach – Mario spends a lot of time rescuing his beloved Princess peach, most often from the clutches of the evil Bowser. Enrolling the assistance of two grown up volunteers for the game is ideal – one to play Princess Peach, and one to play Bowser. If you only have one adult available for this game then a Princess Peach standup can play her role. Make a trail through the house or outside for the kids to follow, leading to the imprisoned damsel in distress. At random points along the route “Bowser” should appear to slow the kids down, just like in the game. The trail can be very simple or elaborate if you choose, but it is always a lot of fun.
A Jumping Contest – We all know that Mario has some pretty amazing jumping skills. Well kids love to jump too, so why not have a jumping contest? Party guests can jump like Mario and kids can clap to show who they think did best. For little kids, everyone is a winner. If you can't find any sturdy boxes for the kids to jump on and off of just use large pieces of colored paper and the kids can pretend they are boxes.
The Yoshi Egg Smash – Do you remember Yoshi? He is Super Mario’s little dragon friend who is famous for his colorful collection of eggs. This game takes some preparation and a few dozen eggs. To play Yoshi Egg Smash, Blow out the contents of several eggs and once they are hollow paint the eggshells like Yoshi’s ( yellow, green, red, blue, and even purple spotted) and then have the kids join in a messy game of Yoshi Egg Smash. If you have a delicate touch and a lot of patience then you might even consider carving out a bigger hole in the bottom of the eggshells and filling them with paper confetti and stars so that when it breaks there is an extra special surprise!
Play Mario Video Games – Perhaps no Super Mario party would be totally complete without some video game time. Fire up the game machine and gather up all of your Super Mario videos for some real fun. Try Super Mario Party 9 for the latest is this awesome series, or pull out one of the oldies for some classic nostalgia.
Is that Really Super Mario - Live and in Person? – Why not create the surprise of a lifetime for your child and his or her guests with a visit from a real live Mario, Bowser, or Luigi?
